About Me
Hi, I'm Lisa — wife, mom of four, and the creator behind Magnets by Lisa. I’ve lived in Las Vegas for over 25 years, and every summer I convince myself I’ll finally get used to the heat… and every summer I’m proven wrong.
When I’m not in my studio, you can usually find me with a Dr Pepper in hand, tracking down good street tacos, , or curled up with a book or a movie.
I love to bake, especially cookies. Honestly, I like the dough maybe even more than the final cookie. My go‑to recipe uses extra vanilla and milk chocolate chips,
The Yonger Years
I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, and lived in the same cozy house my entire childhood. I’m the youngest of three, and I was lucky to grow up with two built‑in role models who shaped so much of who I am.
I started playing softball when I was eight years old and kept at it through my junior year of high school. Some of my favorite memories involve the ballpark, dusty cleats, and cheering crowds.
I began scrapbooking when I was 12 years old and instantly fell in love with preserving photos, stories, and little moments. That early passion for documenting life is a huge part of why Magnets by Lisa exists today.
Random Facts
Here are a few fun things about me: I hate my anniversary date; we got married on December 30th, and after the holidays we’re usually far too tired to celebrate it the way it deserves. I love going to the beach, Disneyland, and baseball games; sunshine, magic, and ballpark energy are some of my favorite things. Rom‑coms are my comfort movies, and historical fiction is my go‑to reading genre. I’m always dabbling in some kind of craft, whether it’s crochet, embroidery, or bracelet‑making. If it involves creating something with my hands, I’m all in. I actually learned how to cook by watching the Food Network, which still makes me laugh. And yes, I proudly wear hoodies and flip‑flops at the same time… even in Las Vegas.
